I booked the Twin Room - Non-Smoking for 5 nights from April 17th to April 22nd. Rate was roughly $140 USD per night (20k yen) and included breakfast each morning. Room was decent and clean. I had arrived early from Osaka and dropped off luggage at the front desk, which was great! Check in later was smooth. I had not prepaid, so was asked to pay up front. The amount matched my booking estimate with a little extra for tax. I had previously asked for extending the stay for 2 nights via booking.com, but was told I would need to redo the reservation. I decided not to do this, since the rates were higher and availability was severely limited. The staff did note my request upon check in; however, I had booked another hotel already so didn't pursue further. The location is wonderful for hopping on the Keiyo line train at Shiomi Station. It takes about 10 minutes to get to Tokyo Station and about 30 minutes to Makuhari Messe, which is where I went for a convention. Koto City area doesn't have a lot nearby in terms of restaurants. I am also vegetarian so the options are even more limited. The cafe on the first floor does have dining options (pizza etc) and the restaurant on the second floor has fancier meals. The restaurant does appear to get booked often for events and stops taking orders a little early. There's a small Family Mart convenience store on the first floor - great for grabbing drinks/snacks on the way out! Overall, location was convenient but dining options limited. Speaking of meals, I had breakfast included with my booking. 100% worth it. A breakfast buffet with tons of options and some made to order items available on request too. Breakfast was at the 2nd floor restaurant for most of my days; however, it was booked for an event one day, so it was moved to the smaller 1st floor cafe on one morning. The hotel has some cool facilities like a laundry that is also a manga library!

A comfortable breakfast selection. A Lawson convenient store was great to see inside the hotel for quick purchase of snacks, drinks or extra amenities (Muslim travelers should be cautious with the snack choices). Friendly staff and helpful to know a few knew and spoke English. Interesting to see a clothing store next to the hotel in case of travelers wanting to buy some new clothes. Loved the fact that the hotel was located right next to a train station that had a direct line to Tokyo Station. Extra convenient stores within walking distances as well as a supermarket nearby. Thankful that the hotel accepted late checkout, at additional cost and as long they are notified beforehand, which was helpful for late night flights.

I had a wonderful stay at Tokyo East Side Hotel KAIE! The location was incredibly convenient—just steps from JR Shiomi Station, which made getting around Tokyo so easy. The room was spotlessly clean, quiet, and more spacious than I expected for a Tokyo hotel. I appreciated the thoughtful amenities like the coffee machine and bidet, and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were all so friendly and helpful—they went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect during my stay. I also really enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Ensemble, and the manga library was a unique and fun bonus. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tokyo, whether for business or leisure!

It was clean, comfortable, and quiet-- everything I needed to get a good night of rest before/after a day of adventuring! It was right across the street from JR Shiomi station (which goes straight to Tokyo station), a handy grocery store, and some restaurants. It's not in the middle of a busy area or night life, which was perfect for me. The station was only a couple stops from the Disney resort so that was convenient for the days we went to Disneysea/land. I didn't make use of this, but in the lobby there was a cute Mickey Mouse statue with outfits your kids could wear to take pictures. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends or family visiting Tokyo!

This was a wonderful and very luxurious hotel. The attention to detail such as to go cups at breakfast in case you wanted to take a coffee with you, and the free bath salts gave it that little bit extra. One small thing I'd say, is I could have done with a little more personalisation, as a solo traveller, a 'how was your day?' or a little bit of human interaction can make a huge difference as at times it did feel a little isolated/impersonal. I wouldn't take any stars off the rating for that though, as it's down to personal taste, just useful information if it's your first time in Tokyo and you're alone.
